CASE STUDY: AGL – Sponsorship Activation

AGL engages Max Events to service its sponsorship with Melbourne Victory Football Club and the Melbourne Zoo. Max Events was engaged by AGL in 2015 when it agreed to a Major Partnership with Melbourne Victory including naming rights to Victory in Business and Chairman’s Function. After an extremely successful 2015/16 season AGL increased the scope of work with Max Events to include its sponsorship of the Melbourne Zoo.

Nature of the Tasks Undertaken


• Production of 2 x AGL TVC’s for use in different markets

• Sponsorship activations at 5 x Melbourne Victory matches and 1 x Half Time activation including:

– Creating engaging and innovative ideas for activations

– Production and setup of AGL Charging Stations

– Production of branded promotional items

– Production and setup of branded marquee

• Staffing the AGL activation at each match

• Production of corporate gifts for 1,300 guests at Victory in Business Season Launch

• Production of corporate gifts for 450 guests at Melbourne Victory Chairman’s Function

• Production of AGL digital marketing collateral for use on screen at Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Zoo events

• Event logistics and setup of AGL charging stations at the Melbourne Zoo
